Jean Francois and Hugo chose Italy to celebrate their love, creating an elegant and intimate LGBTQ+ destination wedding in Italy at the beautiful Villa Mosconi Bertani, near Verona.

I had the pleasure of planning their wedding celebration and coordinating their entire stay in Italy, from transfers and accommodation to the days before and after the wedding.

For an international couple, a destination wedding in Italy is about much more than the wedding day itself. It is an experience shared with loved ones, beginning long before the ceremony and continuing throughout the stay.

Looking at Jean Francois and Hugo’s photographs, however, what stays with me most is their tenderness.

The little gestures through which they care for each other, even in the middle of such an important day.

An LGBTQ+ wedding does not need to follow a predefined idea of what a wedding should be. It can be elegant, intimate, contemporary, traditional or completely personal.

What matters is that it reflects the couple.

This is at the heart of my work as an LGBTQ+ wedding planner in Italy: listening, understanding and creating a celebration where couples can feel comfortable, represented and completely free to be themselves.

Choosing Italy for an LGBTQ+ destination wedding means combining the beauty of an extraordinary destination with the freedom to create a deeply personal celebration.

The Verona and Veneto region offers a wonderful setting for destination weddings, with historic villas, beautiful gardens and landscapes that allow couples to create an unforgettable experience for themselves and their guests.

For Jean Francois and Hugo, Villa Mosconi Bertani became the setting for a refined yet deeply personal celebration.

Because, ultimately, even the most beautiful wedding venue is only the backdrop.

The real story is always the couple.

Planning LGBTQ+ weddings in Italy is something particularly close to my heart.

I believe every couple deserves to experience their wedding feeling welcomed, respected and free to be exactly who they are.

There is no single way to celebrate love.

There is only the way that best reflects two people, their story and the life they are building together.

That is what I found in Jean Francois and Hugo’s wedding: not simply a beautiful celebration at Villa Mosconi Bertani, but a wedding that spoke about who they are through the smallest details.

A hand held.

A bow tie carefully adjusted.

A kiss along a garden path.

Small gestures that, sometimes, say everything.
